On the evening of July 23, nearly the entire territory of Georgia experienced a widespread power outage. Residents of Tbilisi, Batumi, Kutaisi, Telavi, Borjomi, Zugdidi, and a number of other cities and towns across the country were left without power. In some areas, the power outages also led to partial disruptions in the water supply.

Radu Musteață, Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry, announced his resignation. Prime Minister Vasile Tofan has already accepted the resignation. Both sides agreed that the decision was made to preserve public confidence in the new cabinet.
