It consists of purified water containing fluorescein, a dye used for technical purposes to detect potential leaks. When it comes into contact with water, the substance turns it a bright green color, but it poses no danger to public health, vegetation, or aquatic life.
Earlier, Logos Press reported that the waters of the Bîc River had become murky on July 19.
Chisinau Mayor Ion Ceban subsequently denied this information, calling it “fake news spread by internet trolls”.
In his official statement, Ion Cheban noted: “This is fake news spread by a few trolls, and experts found nothing at the site”.
