Since then, sheep sheds with a capacity for 930 sheep have been built and fitted out; the sheep are due to arrive at the farm in October this year. Once this investment project is complete, the farm will have a total of four sheep sheds equipped to rear 4,000 Dorper sheep.
The investment also includes a rainwater harvesting system. The collected water will be used to irrigate the surrounding farmland. There are also plans to establish an environmentally friendly manure management system.
