“I am taking on the leadership of (AIPA) with a sense of responsibility and determination. For me, this position means more than simply managing an organisation – it is a commitment to transform and strengthen AIPA, turning it into a modern, effective agency ready to operate in line with European Union standards,” noted Radu Musteața. “In the context of the Republic of Moldova’s European integration, we must start building the institutional capacity required to manage future support instruments under the Common Agricultural Policy effectively right now. AIPA must be prepared for this phase, and such preparation requires a robust institutional framework, digitalisation, transparency and, above all, a professional workforce.
AIPA manages a budget exceeding 2 billion lei and provides the main source of funding for the agricultural sector. These resources must be managed competently and responsibly in order to boost the productivity and competitiveness of our agriculture, as well as to support investments that generate high added value.
I am returning to public service with a conviction reinforced by the experience of recent years: obstacles, mistakes and criticism must not deter us from our endeavour to build strong institutions. On the contrary, they can serve as lessons to help us work even better. Today, the Republic of Moldova needs as many people as possible who are prepared to devote their experience, vision and skills to serving the state. We must carry out complex reforms, even if they do not bring immediate popularity. It is crucial that we leave behind institutions that function effectively and serve the citizens.”
