The undisputed world champion, Moldova-born Dmitry Bivol, is set to face Beterbiev in a rematch

The third bout between Dmitry Bivol, the WBA, WBO and IBF light-heavyweight world champion, and Artur Beterbiev could take place in April 2027 in Chelyabinsk. This was announced by Herman Titov, Chief Executive of RCC Boxing.

According to the promoter, the parties initially considered the possibility of staging the trilogy as early as December. However, such an option could have resulted in Bivol losing his WBO title. ‘There were

talks about April 2027. On RCC Boxing. We’re planning it in Chelyabinsk, to coincide with the opening of the RMK Arena,” Titov stated on the ‘Dvizh Borca 5’ podcast.

The first fight between Bivol and Beterbiev took place in October 2024. Beterbiev won by a majority decision at the time. In February 2025, the boxers met again, and this time the judges awarded the victory to Bivol by a majority decision. This marked Beterbiev’s first defeat in his professional career.

Thus, after two bouts between these legendary boxers, the head-to-head record stands at 1–1.

The exact terms of the third fight and the boxers’ purses have not yet been announced. Previously, for their first bout, Bivol and Beterbiev each received around $10 million, whilst the payouts for the rematch were estimated at approximately $15 million per person.
