In February 2025, the boxers met again, and this time the judges awarded the victory to Bivol by a majority decision. This marked Beterbiev’s first defeat in his professional career.
Thus, after two bouts between these legendary boxers, the head-to-head record stands at 1–1.
The exact terms of the third fight and the boxers’ purses have not yet been announced. Previously, for their first bout, Bivol and Beterbiev each received around $10 million, whilst the payouts for the rematch were estimated at approximately $15 million per person.
