The platform will send a request, strictly according to the client’s needs, to those lawyers who specialise in the relevant field and are prepared to provide the service in the specific locality where the client requires it.
In addition, the new resource will enable citizens to compare the fees charged by different lawyers and view each lawyer’s personal profile. This will detail the lawyer’s experience, professional background, qualifications, training courses and so on. Thanks to this, citizens will be able to choose the most suitable service for their needs.
The service will be free and confidential – all correspondence with a lawyer will be protected. Lawyers will be able to use the platform free of charge for the first three months, and thereafter on a subscription basis.
“At present, there is no such service available to citizens in Moldova,” says lawyer Maxim Lebedinsky, co-author of the project. “As the Law on the Legal Profession prohibits the advertising of such services, people used to find a lawyer either through a recommendation or via the websites of the Ministry of Justice or the Bar Association. However, they did not receive any information about the lawyer’s specialisation or practical experience.”
