The first meeting of the electoral councils is scheduled to take place no later than 13 September 2026.
Until 27 September 2026, they will organise polling stations and, at the same time, exercise the powers of the electoral commissions for the relevant polling stations. In settlements where separate polling stations are required, these will be established by 7 October 2026.
The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has reminded the public that on 1 November 2026, new local elections will be held in the villages of Cairaclia and Novosiolovca in the Taraclia district, the town of Costești in the Rîșcani district, the village of Hăsnășenii Mari district of Drochia, and the villages of Tomai and Chirsova in the Gagauzia Autonomous Territorial Unit (ATO).
On the same day, a local referendum will take place in the village of Delacău, in the Anenii Noi district.
