The largest portion of this sum – around 50 million lei – was authorised by the AIPA agency as state financial aid to 333 agricultural producers whose farmland was severely affected by the drought in 2025.
In addition, a significant sum – 22.30 million lei – was approved for payment under the LEADER rural community development programme. These funds were channelled towards the development of 218 investment projects, mainly (185 projects) in the public sector: administrative and economic activities and support services, public administration, water supply, sewerage, waste management, education, construction, etc. This source also funded 24 business projects (totalling 1.78 million lei) in agriculture and forestry, the processing industry and tourism.
In August, the AIPA agency approved nearly 7 million lei in post-investment subsidies (partial cost reimbursement) for three applications from beneficiaries in the agri-food sector (livestock farming, viticulture and winemaking).
A further just over 3 million lei were received in August by two livestock farms – in the form of advance payments.
