“On Friday, the United Nations General Assembly adopted an African proposal for a new world map showing the true sizes of countries in relation to one another,” according to a post on the UN News Centre’s page on social media platform X.
164 countries voted in favour, with only the US voting against, whilst Ukraine, Estonia, Georgia, Lithuania, Moldova and Serbia abstained.
