The project agreement was signed by the Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry, Ludmila Catlabuga, and the director of CIHEAM Bari, Biagio Di Terlizzi.
The project “Support provided to the Government of the Republic of Moldova to adjust its activity to the EU legislation in the field of agriculture and rural development” is estimated at 4 million euros and will be realized within 3 years.
According to MAIA, the main activities of the project will target small and medium-sized farmers, cooperatives and producers’ associations. They will be aimed at modernization of production, processing and marketing of agri-food products in accordance with European requirements and international quality and safety standards.
CIHEAM Bari is an institution specialized in postgraduate education, applied research and international cooperation in sustainable agriculture, rural development, food security and adaptation to climate change.
