During the first meeting, committee members discussed preparations for the competitive grant programs for agricultural producers, which will be held in 2026. In particular, they discussed the preparation of an “applicant’s guide” for funding in the areas of support provided for in the PSPA program.

They also analyzed the current management procedures for the National Fund for Agricultural and Rural Development—that is, the redistribution of funds allocated to this fund in the current year’s budget. Based on information provided by the Agency for Agricultural Interventions and Payments, committee members presented their proposals on this matter, taking into account the actual needs of farmers—the beneficiaries.

The PSPA Monitoring Committee under the Ministry of Agriculture consists of 21 members—representatives of central government authorities (ministries and agencies), agricultural producer organizations and agricultural raw material processors, as well as nongovernmental organizations focused on rural development. The committee members’ mandate covers the entire duration of the program.
