The new corporate governance structure is designed to strengthen the CNPM’s capacity to represent the interests of the business community more broadly and effectively, according to a statement from the representative body. The responsibilities and areas of activity coordinated by each vice-president will be determined in accordance with the institutional priorities approved by the Council.
The meeting’s agenda also included the consideration of applications for CNPM membership from 12 new organisations, the approval of internal procedures, amendments to the 2026 budget, as well as important issues relating to social dialogue and public policy.
The employers’ organisations intend to strengthen their presence and influence on the country’s economic and social policies. The main changes relate to the recent change in leadership, the defence of business interests in tripartite dialogue, and the promotion of proposals for the government’s new policy direction.
It should be recalled that in May 2026, the National Confederation of Employers’ Organisations elected a new chairperson. Anna Groza took the helm of the organisation, succeeding Leonid Cerescu, who had held the post for many years. The organisation believes that this appointment marked a new phase in the promotion of Moldovan employers’ interests.
To date, the CNPM comprises 32 major members (19 federations and associations, as well as 13 key enterprises), representing the interests of around 3,000 companies across Moldova.
