It is a tool providing relevant information on available offers, designed in a standardised format. This makes it easier for consumers to compare estimated costs and the main terms of the offers, without having to collect and analyse information separately from each supplier.
“It is important to note that this platform does not sell or buy energy, nor does it recommend any supplier. It is an independent platform, a single space for comparing supply offers for domestic and non-domestic consumers, enabling them to make an informed choice,” said Constantin Borosan, a member of the ANRE Board of Directors, during the press conference.
He explained how the platform works. It is currently in a trial phase and is due to become fully operational from 1 October.
To obtain the results, the user selects the type of energy, specifies the location, the type of consumer, the connection level and enters the estimated annual consumption. Depending on the options selected, the tool displays the available offers and the estimated annual costs.
The results displayed are estimates and depend on the data entered by the user, actual consumption and the terms of the offer. Therefore, the choice of an offer should not be based solely on the estimated cost; consumers must also take into account the contract duration, price structure and other applicable terms.
This tool was developed with the support of UNDP Moldova and the Italian Government, as part of efforts to enhance transparency and consumers’ access to relevant information about the energy market.
