“Despite mounting economic pressure on Russia and Ukraine’s ability to strike deep into Russian territory, Moscow shows no willingness to negotiate. We must be prepared for this war to last at least another year or two,” warns the Romanian leader.
As Romania shares a border with Ukraine, Nicușor Dan insists on maintaining US troops in Europe against the backdrop of the ongoing review of the US military presence on the continent. According to Euronews, Dan also confirmed that Romania has received the first tranche from the EU’s €2.5 billion defence fund, earmarked for arms procurement.
