From July 14 to 16, 2026, the Ungheni Municipality will hold a series of training seminars designed for aspiring entrepreneurs and people who are just planning to start their own businesses. Tax and customs officials will travel to these areas to conduct financial education sessions. The program is designed for participants from the Ungheni, Fălești, Nisporeni, and Călărași districts.

Irina Revin, chair of the Association of Entrepreneurs with Disabilities of the Republic of Moldova, responded to businessman Vasile Tofan, who proposed 12 radical reforms and stated that Moldova needs its own Javier Milei as prime minister. Revin argues that such an approach, based on across-the-board cuts and rapid privatization, risks hurting vulnerable segments of the population and turning the country into a space exclusively for the elite.

This year, the authorities will introduce remote services for opening bank accounts and providing notary services for legal entities. These innovations are included in the Action Plan for the Digitalization of Key Business Services for 2026.

This year, 300 Moldovan companies—twice as many as last year—will participate in the second “Domestic Product” exhibition. It will take place August 28–30 at “Moldexpo” in the capital.

The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection is discussing a bill with social partners that would, for the first time, establish a legal framework in Moldova for work through digital platforms. The bill is intended to define the status of workers in the platform economy—delivery couriers, online service drivers, digital service providers, and other professionals working through mobile apps and online platforms—and to strengthen the protection of their labor rights.

Municipal bonds are a promising financial instrument characterized by low costs, transparent allocation of funds, and—just as importantly—effective oversight of their use. They are already emerging as a clear alternative to bank loans for local governments.

In the second quarter of 2026, 854 million lei were injected into the country’s economy through the Credit Guarantee Fund, which is administered by the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA).
