Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri paid a visit to Brussels on 12 March and met there with European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos. UPDATED. In Moldova, the MD-ALERT emergency notification system will be created, which will allow the authorities to quickly warn people about emergency situations via cell phones. The cost of implementing the system is estimated at about 5 million euros.

Romania is ready to unite with Moldova if and when citizens living across the Prut River want it. This was stated by President Nicusor Dan on the air of the Polish TV channel TVP World.
