Average wages (in euros) in the Czech private sector this year rose 9% year-on-year to CZK 48,967 (EUR 2,024). This growth was one of the fastest in the Central European region. Nevertheless, compared to the situation in this area in other Visegrad Group (V4) countries, Czech salaries are inferior to those in Poland, but ahead of those in Slovakia.
