The National Bureau of Statistics has published on its website the order approving the new document. It is intended to harmonise the national classification of economic activities with the Statistical Classification of Economic Activities in the European Union (NACE). This will ensure a common, uniform classification of statistical units and economic activities.

The order, published on the National Bureau of Statistics’ website, sets out the procedure for applying KEDM Rev. 2.1. It includes the document’s contents and characteristics, its structure and coding (22 sections, 87 subsections, 287 groups, 651 classes), a list of sections, and so on.

Furthermore, the Methodological Guidelines on the Application of the New Classifier previously described the process of its integration into a similar international classification system, as well as the procedure for classifying mixed types of activity. It sets out specific rules for determining the type of activity for individual sections of the classification system, explains the structure of the classification system and the coding system used, outlines the procedure for applying the TOP-DOWN method when determining an enterprise’s principal activity, and addresses other related issues.
