Chisinau Airport is introducing special access procedures for the terminal

“Evgheni Doga” International Airport in Chișinău is preparing for a significant increase in passenger traffic due to the departure of Hasidic pilgrims. To ensure order, safety and the smooth running of the airport, the authorities are introducing special control and access measures, which will be in force from 14 to 17 September 2026.

According to the airport’s official website, between 14 and 17 September, access to the terminal will be restricted to passengers with tickets, airport staff and flight crew members only. Accompanying persons and visitors will not be permitted inside.

Passengers will be able to enter the terminal no earlier than three hours before their scheduled departure time. Entry will be granted on presentation of a travel document and flight confirmation.

Traffic and transport arrangements

Strict measures will also apply to the area surrounding the airport, particularly with regard to large vehicles. Bus traffic and parking will be redirected exclusively to designated areas.

Organisers of pilgrim groups and drivers are asked to strictly adhere to the designated routes, authorised stopping points and direct instructions from law enforcement officers on site. Failure to comply with these rules may lead to serious traffic congestion on access roads and cause disruption to other travellers.

The authorities are appealing to the public for understanding and cooperation, reminding them that these restrictions are temporary and necessary to maintain safety and the smooth operation of the airport during periods of peak demand.

Passengers with flights scheduled for these days are advised to:

– check their flight status in advance on the online departure board on the airport’s official website;

– keep their documents to hand for quick verification upon entering the terminal;

– follow the instructions of airport staff and representatives of the relevant authorities.
