The members of the National Council for Integrated State Border Management held an extraordinary meeting on May 21, during which they approved the decision to establish a Working Group for Quality Control in preparation for the Schengen conformity assessment.

A court in Kazakhstan has allowed the Ukrainian state-run energy company Naftohaz to enforce a ruling to recover about $1.4bn from Russia’s Gazprom in a gas transit case.

The Law on Accounting and Financial Reporting is amended to increase the financial criteria for determining the categories of enterprises and groups of companies. The new limits will apply to the classification of microenterprises, small, medium and large entities, and groups of companies. The relevant amendments were adopted by the Parliament in the second reading and will come into force on January 1, 2027.

The UN General Assembly has approved a resolution that sets a course for accelerated reductions in the use of fossil fuels and strengthened global action to combat the climate crisis. A court in Barcelona has granted bail to Jonathan Andik, the son of deceased Mango founder Isak Andik, who is suspected by investigators of involvement in his father’s death.
