
Also, as part of this forum, the Moldovan delegation (comprising staff from MAIA and the Moldovan State Hydrometeorological Service) met with the heads of several specialized FAO units. Discussions focused on information exchange and attracting investment in water supply and geolocation systems, drought and climate monitoring, as well as the country’s participation in the implementation of the Agricultural Stress Index System (ASIS).
The working visit by the Moldovan delegation to this global forum took place as part of the project “Strengthening the Competitiveness and Resilience to Climate Risks of Smallholder Farmers in the Republic of Moldova,” implemented by FAO in Moldova and funded by Switzerland under the “Sustainable and Inclusive Markets” program.
