The supply order was issued under a master procurement agreement signed in 2022. Boeing will carry out repairs on nine different configurations of flight control surfaces for Navy aircraft.
The work will be carried out primarily in Jacksonville, Florida, which accounts for 83 per cent of the contract, with the remaining 17 per cent to be carried out in St Louis, Missouri. The company plans to complete the work by September 2032.
The Navy undertakes to allocate $60.3 million from its working capital budget for the 2026 financial year at the time the contract is awarded, representing 25 per cent of its total value. These funds will not lapse at the end of the current financial year. The remaining $181 million is earmarked to finance the order under a ceiling price arrangement.
Boeing was the sole supplier invited to fulfil this requirement in accordance with Section 10 of US Code 3204(a)(1), and submitted the only proposal received. Contract management is being overseen by the US Navy’s Systems Logistics Support Command in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
