The statement was made by Moldovan Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu at an event organized on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the founding of the National Confederation of Employers of Moldova.
In his speech, the prime minister said that three decades of activity mean more than just institutional continuity, emphasizing that this period reflects the resilience, adaptation and ability of the business environment to develop in difficult economic conditions.
The voice of entrepreneurs must be heard
“For three decades, the Confederation has represented the voice of entrepreneurs and has contributed to strengthening the dialog between the State and the economic environment. And this is important. Because behind every investment, every job and every company that resists on the market are people who decided to believe in Moldova and to build here,” the prime minister said.
The prime minister emphasized that in recent years, entrepreneurs in Moldova faced serious difficulties, but despite this, the economy continued to function thanks to business people who invested, kept jobs and continued to develop their companies.
“We want Moldova to become a more competitive economy, more attractive for investments and better in line with European standards. But this goal cannot be achieved without the business community,” the prime minister said.
The National Confederation of Employers of the Republic of Moldova has been operating since 1996 and represents the interests of the business community in a dialog with the authorities, trade unions and other social partners.
The organization unites federations, employers’ associations and enterprises representing about 3000 companies from key sectors of the national economy.
