As of August 14, 13 potential investors had expressed interest in these four enterprises, but no official bids had been submitted by that date.
According to the ARR, these four enterprises include: the Zarea Hotel, the Izomer experimental chemical plant, the Shtintsya publishing and printing enterprise, and the Lumin state educational publishing house.
The initial deadline for submitting bids was August 19, 2026. It was extended to October 19, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., and the bidding sessions are scheduled for October 20, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m. They will take place at the headquarters of the State Property Agency in Chisinau, located at 78 Vasile Alexandri Street, 4th floor, office 402, according to a press release from the agency.
The agency explains the extension by the need to give potential buyers more time to review the documentation, evaluate the assets, and understand the profile of each enterprise. The agency also mentions the summer season and states that the extension is intended to create conditions for broader participation, fiercer competition, and the receipt of bids that are most advantageous to the state.
Greatest Interest in “Isomer”
Of the 13 potential investors who expressed interest in the four enterprises, five showed interest in “Izomer,” which has been inactive for two years, four in the “Zarea” hotel, and two each in “Shtintse” and “Lumina.”
APP clarifies that these expressions of interest do not constitute bids to participate in the auction. Interested parties personally contacted the agency’s headquarters to review the privatization documents and, when necessary, visited the respective enterprises to inspect their assets and assess the situation on site. However, as of August 14, none of the 13 interested parties had submitted a request to participate.
Potential buyers may review the documentation available at the APP and inspect the assets subject to privatization by appointment.
