All key players performed well. However, in the five months since the start of 2026, the increase in production volume has already reached 7.2%, indicating a slowdown from previous growth rates.

The extractive industry stood out in particular when comparing year-over-year data (+22.4%). The overall increase in industrial production was also driven by the manufacturing sector (+7.6%) and the energy sector (+11.0%), leading to an increase in production across the industry as a whole of 0.7%, 7.0%, and 0.5%, respectively, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.

However, since the beginning of this year, the extractive industry has slowed sharply and slipped into negative territory. In January–May 2026, the sector recorded a decline (-0.3%). This was the reason for the slowdown in industrial production during the first five months.

The positive trend since the beginning of the year was supported by increased production volumes in the manufacturing sector (+6.3%) and in the production and supply of electricity, heat, gas, hot water, and air conditioning systems (+13.9%).
