According to expert estimates cited by Euronews, the total damage from the attacks on warehouses in Elektrostal and Kotovsk could reach about 100 billion rubles (more than €1 billion). The bulk of this amount is reportedly made up of destroyed inventory belonging to retailers.
On social media, business owners are posting about their losses, which in some cases are estimated at millions of rubles. They note that they continue to pay for storage, logistics, commissions, and product promotion; however, following changes to the terms of the agreement, they are no longer eligible for compensation in the event that their products are destroyed as a result of military operations.
For example, RWB, the company that owns Wildberries and Russ, stated that it is working out the amount of payments to sellers and other financial support measures. In addition to possible compensation, the company offered discounts on product storage and transit shipments to regional logistics centers.
Later, RWB CEO Tatiana Kim announced additional support measures through WB Bank. These include a deferral of debt repayment for small and medium-sized businesses for up to six months, preferential loans to replenish inventory, the elimination of fees for payments within Russia, and an increased interest rate on account balances.
Kyiv stated that the strikes on Russian logistics centers were carried out because, according to the Ukrainian side, these facilities were being used to supply components for the production of drones. There is no independent confirmation of this information.
In addition to Wildberries’ warehouses, one of the targets of the attack was the “Yuzhnye Vrata” industrial park, owned by Instone Development. According to publicly available data, in early 2026, the “Talent and Success” fund, linked to cellist Sergei Roldugin, gained control of the company.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, commenting on the attacks, stated that Kyiv is “responding appropriately” to Russian strikes on Ukrainian cities and emphasized the need to increase pressure on Russia to end the war.
