
In this context, the government, at today’s meeting, approved draft amendments to some provisions on the organization and functioning of the MAIA b structures in its field of competence.
The main amendments are aimed at restructuring and optimizing some internal subdivisions of the ministry and subordinated administrative bodies, strengthening the functions of public policy coordination, European integration, internal audit, digitalization and financial management, as well as adjusting the competences of some institutions in the field of research and seed production.
The project also includes measures for administrative reorganization and reallocation of institutional resources in order to improve performance and reduce budgetary costs.
“The implementation of the proposed changes will contribute to strengthening the administrative and functional capacity of the agri-food sector, improving internal processes and ensuring better coordination of policies and investment projects in this area,” said Ina Butuchel, Deputy Secretary General of State at the ministry.
