It will be an event dedicated to “authentic national values, folk costumes and folk music, as well as people who preserve the cultural identity of the Republic of Moldova,” according to information from the mayor’s office.

“For one day, Chisinau will be the venue for an event dedicated to Moldovan music, dance, crafts and cuisine. Visitors will be able to admire the parade of folk costumes, the exhibition of folk craftsmen, take part in master classes and activities for the whole family,” the organizers promise.

A special place at the festival will be taken by the gastronomic zone, where participants will be able to taste traditional dishes. The organizers are preparing prizes, surprises and entertainment for the most active participants.

With the help of the new “Festival of Traditions”, the Chisinau Mayor’s Office aims, through the organization of such performances and exhibitions, to educate the residents of the capital to respect traditions, as well as to give the citizens an opportunity to spend their weekends together.
