Moldova Has Dropped in the Military Power Rankings

The Republic of Moldova has fallen to 136th place out of 145 countries in the Global Firepower 2026 military power ranking.

This ranking takes into account more than 60 different factors and indicators.

Over the past year, our country has fallen two spots, placing it between Panama and Somalia. And this is despite the fact that Moldova’s military spending rose from 30% of GDP in 2020 to 0.58%–0.65% this year.

The United States ranks first in the ranking, Russia second, and China third. India is in fourth place, South Korea in fifth, and France in sixth.

Turkey is in 9th place, Germany in 12th, Ukraine in 20th, and Romania in 52nd.
