Dan Perciun, Minister of Education and Research, stated that this measure is aimed at attracting young professionals to various sectors of the education and science systems.
The grant for young professionals who pursue careers in science or begin teaching at universities will amount to 200,000 lei. The program will also apply to those who go on to teach at vocational schools and colleges. In these cases, the amount of the grant ranges from 200,000 to 375,000 lei, depending on the terms of employment.
Dan Perciun clarified that the authorities have already begun compiling lists of graduates wishing to receive job placements. To launch the updated mechanism, similar data will be collected from universities and research institutes in the near future.
