The family noticed the results right away: their heating costs went down in the winter, and in the summer, the house stays cool and comfortable for longer.
The work was jointly funded: 50% of the costs were covered with support from the EU and Germany, and another 45% came from the Energy Vulnerability Fund. The family paid only 5% of the cost.
It was previously reported that, as part of the FEERM module “Energy Efficiency of Individual Homes in Rural Areas,” the first 42 households have already been modernized, with the total cost of the completed projects amounting to 12.8 million lei.
The FEERM program is implemented by the National Center for Sustainable Energy and the Ministry of Energy with the support of international partners.
