A total of 23,029 residents of the region are officially employed on the right bank of the Dniester—66.8% more than a year earlier. In the first half of 2025, there were 13,810 such workers.

Chisinau remains the main center of employment for residents of the left bank. More than 72% of all officially employed residents of the region work here—that is, over 16,000 people.

The largest share among them is made up of residents of Bender—28.5%, Tiraspol—13.9%, Rybnitsa—12%, Dubossary—8.95%, and Grigoriopol—4%.

Transnistrian residents work in a wide variety of sectors—from trade, industry, and construction to education, healthcare, transportation, IT, public administration, and the service sector.

Government officials note that this trend indicates a deepening of socioeconomic ties between the two banks of the Dniester. Official employment on the right bank provides residents of the region with social guarantees, paid vacation, legal protection, and access to other opportunities provided for by law.
