The ranking includes companies operating in the wine, food, pharmaceutical, banking, IT, healthcare, education, and other sectors. According to the Investment Agency’s plan, the companies included in the ranking are expected to help promote Moldovan goods and services in foreign markets.
More than 1,300 companies passed the preliminary screening
The process of compiling the ranking began with an analysis of more than 1,300 exporting companies. The assessment was based on data from the Customs Service, the National Bureau of Statistics, and other public sources, as specified on the Investment Agency’s website.
Following the preliminary stage, 115 companies met the minimum qualification threshold by scoring more than 33.3 points out of a possible 50. They were invited to the second stage, which involved a more detailed assessment of their activities based on data submitted by the participants.
In the final stage, applications were reviewed by the Selection Committee, which included representatives from 12 government agencies and relevant organizations. These included the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, the Entrepreneurship Development Organization, AGEPI, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova, EBA Moldova, FIA Moldova, and AmCham Moldova.
The evaluation took into account the companies’ export performance, innovative potential, international marketing strategies, and their contribution to promoting the image of the Republic of Moldova abroad.

What will the companies included in the ranking receive?
Participation in the program involves national and international promotion of the companies. Specifically, they will be featured on the specialized platform “Top Exporters from Moldova” and in a digital directory of exporters, which will be available in both print and electronic formats.
Participants will also benefit from video content, editorial features, and other promotional events organized by the Investment Agency.
The official presentation of the 25 companies is scheduled for October 1 as part of the Export Forum, which will be a component of Moldova Business Week 2026.
The “Top Exporters from Moldova” program will be held once every two years and, according to the Investment Agency, is designed to identify and promote Moldovan companies that have achieved success in foreign markets.
For Moldova’s economy, the introduction of such a ranking could serve as an additional tool for promoting national exports and raising the profile of Moldovan companies among potential foreign partners, investors, and buyers.
