“Municipal Networks Registry” Information System (SI RERE) is a digital platform containing spatial and descriptive data on water supply and sewerage networks, electricity supply, gas supply, heating, telecommunications, and other technical and utility networks. The system will also include information on their protection zones and associated restrictions.
The agency considers the implementation of SI RERE to be an important step: “This will provide government authorities, network operators, designers, contractors, and other user groups with access to a unified mechanism for registering and exchanging information on municipal networks.”
One of the system’s key advantages is also the reduction of the risk of accidental damage to networks during construction or repair work, as noted in the system’s official presentation.
“Access to up-to-date and accurate information will enable more effective investment planning, which will help improve safety and reduce incident-related costs.
In addition, SI RERE will help ensure compatibility with other government information systems, guaranteeing automated data exchange and supporting the processes of planning, design, authorization, construction, operation, and maintenance of municipal networks,” the agency’s statement reads.
