Entire routes or service on specific sections have been canceled. Passengers can use other trains or alternative transportation. PKP PLK representatives state that the problems are caused by malfunctions in the traction network or track deformations. Technical services are working to resolve the issues and restore full capacity on the routes as soon as possible. This was reported by Polsat News, according to “European Truth.”

Similar problems have been reported in Germany. Over the weekend, the German railway operator Deutsche Bahn and other railway companies advised against non-essential travel on intercity and regional routes. In Leipzig, tram service was suspended due to the heat—as a result of high temperatures affecting the road surface, many sections of the tram tracks became unusable.
