According to Quotezone, Mogren topped the rankings thanks to its warm sea, relatively low cost of a vacation, and high ratings from tourists. A three-day stay in Budva costs an average of £194.56, and the cheapest draft beer in the study for this resort costs £1.29. The nearest airport is 22.12 km away.
Mogren is located at the foot of the cliffs near the historic center of Budva. The beach actually consists of two small coves—Mogren I and Mogren II—connected by a passage through the rocks. Local guidebooks highlight the crystal-clear water and the pebble-covered beach.
Nissi Beach in Cyprus came in second place. It received high scores for its warm water and air: average July temperatures are 27.4°C and 28.9°C, respectively. When compiling the index, Quotezone selected one beach from each country. The selection was based on TripAdvisor’s lists of the most popular beaches, sorted by the “Travelers’ Favorites” category. Each destination was then assigned points based on specific criteria, which were totaled to produce a final score. If multiple destinations tied for points, the beach’s area was taken into account.
