As a reminder, the draft provides for new rules governing state aid, including a prior notification procedure, an assessment of large aid schemes, and new transparency requirements.

Specifically, schemes with an average annual budget exceeding 150 million euros will be subject to ex post evaluation, and information on individual aid exceeding 100,000 euros must be published.

The draft also establishes a 10-year deadline for the recovery of unlawful and incompatible state aid, including accrued interest.
