Of the total number of participants, 85 are enrolled in the government’s paid internship program, and 59 are enrolled in a similar EU program. Both programs are now in their sixth year.
The government-funded internship program has been in operation for three years and is demonstrating concrete results in revitalizing the workforce:
– 262 people have successfully completed the program since its inception;
– 55 graduates have already begun working in the public administration system;
– 65 specialists have been included in the civil service reserve.
Program participants receive a monthly stipend, gain an inside look at the workings of the government apparatus, work alongside current civil servants, and undergo specialized training.
A simplified hiring process is available for the most successful graduates: candidates who receive a “very good” rating from their mentors may be hired into the civil service without a competitive exam or probationary period.

During a discussion with the young professionals, Vasile Tofan shared his personal experience, noting that his own professional journey also began with internships in the public sector.
“Thank you for your interest in a potential career in the public sector. I don’t think there is any other field where you can have a greater impact and find greater satisfaction,” said the head of government.
Key topics of the meeting included economic reforms, attracting investment to the Republic of Moldova, and measures to combat corruption.
Special attention was given to the process of European integration. According to the prime minister, the country is moving forward on this path at an accelerated pace.
