The meeting was attended by representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Public Services Agency, the State Tax Service, and the Customs Service. Business owners had the opportunity to discuss practical issues arising in their day-to-day operations directly with representatives of government agencies.

Registration, Taxes, and Imports

One of the key topics was the procedure for registering and temporarily enrolling economic agents from the left bank of the Dniester, as well as their inclusion in the State Register of Legal Entities.

A separate session was devoted to the application of the Republic of Moldova’s tax legislation. Participants were briefed on the procedures for calculating taxes and fees, registering as and deregistering from the VAT and excise tax systems, as well as the rules for filing tax returns for these types of payments.

Another important topic was customs procedures for the import of goods into the Republic of Moldova by economic agents from the left bank of the Dniester. In particular, the discussion covered the specifics of applying VAT and excise taxes, customs clearance procedures, and other issues related to imports.

During the meeting, business representatives also raised practical questions regarding the application of the import taxation mechanism.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry plans to compile the questions and issues raised by business representatives and forward them to the relevant government agencies for review and clarification.

Holding such working meetings creates a direct channel of communication between the business community and government institutions. For businesses on the left bank of the Dniester, this is particularly important regarding registration, taxation, and foreign trade operations, where the practical application of procedures may require additional clarification, according to the CCI’s statement.
