“This revenge is the demand of our people, and it will certainly take place. These criminals, whose names are known from top to bottom, will take to their graves the unfulfilled desire to die peacefully in their own beds. They must know that this does not depend on my personal presence, nor on the presence of any other official,” he wrote.
Khamenei added that regardless of whether he is alive or dead, revenge “will be carried out.” “Soon, every freedom-loving person around the world will play a part in this divine mission,” he emphasized.
Shortly before midnight on Friday, Trump himself responded to the threats from Tehran with a post on his Truth Social platform.
“1,000 missiles are loaded, ready to launch, and aimed at the Islamic Republic of Iran, and thousands more will follow immediately if the Iranian government decides to carry out its threat, voiced in many corners of the world, —to kill or attempt to kill the sitting President of the United States of America, in this case ME!” he wrote.
Trump added that he had already ordered the U.S. military “for a period of one year, with the possibility of extension, to completely destroy and devastate all regions of Iran.” He concluded his post with the words: “PRAISE BE TO ALLAH!”
