During this period, only passengers with valid tickets and travel documents, authorized personnel, and aircraft crew members will be allowed to enter the terminal.
Passengers will be allowed to enter the terminal three hours before their scheduled flight time. Travelers are urged to take this restriction into account when planning their arrival at the airport.
According to authorities, this temporary measure is intended to ensure an orderly flow of passengers through the terminal, as well as the efficient conduct of security screening and boarding procedures.
The restrictions will be in effect from 12:00 a.m. on August 27 until 11:59 p.m. on August 31.
Most likely, the restrictions are related to the celebration of the Republic of Moldova’s Independence Day and the possible arrival of high-ranking foreign officials. It is known that Maia Sandu has invited the presidents of Romania and Ukraine, Nicușor Dan and Volodymyr Zelenskyy, to the events marking the 35th anniversary of the proclamation of Moldova’s independence.
