According to the Bucharest City Hall, from 6:00 p.m. on August 30 until 12:00 p.m. on August 31, Ștefan cel Mare Boulevard will be closed to traffic on the section between Metropolitan Gavriil Bănulescu-Bodoni Street and Alexander Pushkin Street.
This is due to the Marea Dictare Națională (“Great National Dictation”), organized by the Ministry of Education and Research of Moldova. During this time, trolleybuses Nos. 1, 4, 5, 8, 22, and 34, as well as buses Nos. 5, 9, 11, 26, and 46, will be rerouted to neighboring streets.
The following day, August 31, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., traffic will be closed on Alexandru cel Bun Street between Alexander Pushkin Street and Metropolitan Gavriil Bănulescu-Bodoni Street. This is due to festive events on the Evgheni Doga pedestrian street.
On the same day, from 5:00 p.m. to 11:50 p.m., traffic will be restricted on the section of Grigore Vieru Boulevard from Ierusalim Street—near the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova and the National Bank—to Constantin Tănase and Alexander Pushkin Streets. The restriction will not apply to public transportation.
City Hall urges drivers to take these changes into account in advance when planning their routes and to follow the instructions of traffic police officers.
