This was reported by the Chisinau City Hall. The capital’s authorities are constantly investing in the development and improvement of educational infrastructure in the suburbs.
For example, at the G. Malarciuc Gymnasium, which has more than 200 students, several classrooms underwent major renovations, as did the ceilings in the school building’s common areas.
In addition, the Chisinau City Hall allocated more than 1.4 million lei for the complete renovation of a school in the town of Vatra. The funds were used to carry out comprehensive work on thermal insulation and repairs to the school.
Among the most significant improvements to the school building were the renovation of the heating system, the modernization of the lighting, and the repair of classrooms and hallways. In addition, the gym lobby and the school cafeteria’s storage room were completely renovated, ensuring optimal conditions for a high-quality educational process.
As part of a partnership between the Chisinau City Hall and YMCA Moldova, the school’s computer lab has been equipped with new technology.
The YMCA is a nonprofit organization that supports youth and local communities through non-formal education, civic engagement, and humanitarian projects. The organization is a member of the international network YMCA Europe.
These investments are part of a large-scale modernization plan implemented in recent years using municipal funds, according to the capital’s city hall.
