Moldova and Kazakhstan account for more than 60% of Ukraine’s cheese exports

Moldova and Kazakhstan remain the two largest export markets for Ukrainian cheese: from January through July 2026, they accounted for 34.8% and 25.8% of Ukrainian exports, respectively.

These figures are provided by the Ukrainian Association of Milk Producers (APM).

Thus, Moldova and Kazakhstan together account for 60.6% of foreign demand for Ukrainian cheeses, and the combined share of the three main markets reaches 73.7%, according to calculations based on APM data.

It is noted that Germany is the third-largest market for Ukrainian products, with a 13.1% share. At the same time, this country accounts for 16.3% of Ukraine’s cheese imports

Overall, during the first seven months of 2026, Ukraine exported 8.2 thousand metric tons of cheese, which is only 1.2% more than during the same period last year. Export revenue totaled $37.4 million, increasing by just 0.5%.
