These figures were announced by economic analyst Dumitru Barbalat.
“Anna Revenko has completed her term as head of the Patriot Center for Strategic Communication and Countering Disinformation. Like many others, she announced this to Mark Zuckerberg on Facebook. Although the center was legally established on the initiative of and in accordance with Article 11 of Law No. 242/2023 and reports to the president,” the economist wrote on social media.
The center’s structure is particularly intriguing: a director, two directorates, six departments, and two services. The staffing table lists 13 positions. That is, a total of just two subordinates for every 11 supervisors. And all of this is right under the president’s nose and under his authority!
This year, personnel expenses amount to 6,015,000 lei. That is, an average of 47,710 lei per staff member.
“Compared to all other state agencies funded from the state budget, these are the highest such expenses/salaries,” states Dumitru Barbalat.
