Through this network, industry professionals will be able to apply for funding to translate and publish literary works in European languages. They will also be able to more easily establish contacts with publishers, translators, and cultural institutions in Central, Southeastern, and Western Europe.
“Membership will help raise the profile of Moldovan authors, promote the international dissemination of national literature, and foster cooperation among professionals in this field,” the Ministry of Culture hopes.
Starting in 2027, the Ministry of Culture will participate with voting rights on TRADUKI’s steering committee and will be able to contribute to setting the network’s priorities and promoting the cultural interests of the Republic of Moldova, the ministry explains in its plans.
TRADUKI is a European literary network that connects Southeast Europe with the German-speaking world to support translations, authors, and publishers.
