The forged documents were discovered both upon entry into and exit from the Republic of Moldova:
All suspicious documents were seized and sent for forensic examination; the investigation is ongoing to determine all the circumstances.
In this regard, the Border Police reminds the public that the use or presentation of forged travel documents when crossing the state border is considered a crime and is punishable under the laws of the Republic of Moldova.
Border guards recommend that travelers use only valid travel documents issued by competent state authorities when crossing the state border, and avoid using the services of dubious intermediaries to obtain travel documents.
