Nearly 2,500 companies from the Transnistria region are registered in Moldova

As of the end of the first half of 2026, the State Register of Legal Entities listed 2,492 business entities from the Transnistrian region and the municipality of Bendery. Compared to the end of 2025, their number increased by 14.

Chisinau is ready to put Transnistria under external administration. For now, temporarily

According to the Agency for Public Services (ASP), out of the total number of registered businesses, 461 companies have permanent registration, while another 2,031 are temporarily registered in accordance with national legislation.

Between January 1 and June 30, 2026, nine business entities that declared their location in the Transnistrian region received permanent registration. Another 17 enterprises were placed on temporary registration in accordance with Government Decree No. 815/2005.

Compared to the situation as of December 31, 2025, the total number of registered and listed companies increased from 2,478 to 2,492.

Access to National Services and the EU Market

As noted in a statement by the Bureau for Reintegration, registration under the legal framework of the Republic of Moldova allows companies in the region to access government services and participate in the country’s commercial activities. In addition, access to the European Union market is viewed as one of the factors driving business development, expanding export opportunities, and attracting investment.
