“The participation of our gendarmes in international peacekeeping missions demonstrates that the Republic of Moldova plays an active role in efforts to ensure peace and stability. I am proud of the people who are setting off to represent the country with professionalism and responsibility,” said Minister of the Interior Daniela Misail-Nichitin.

The experience of previous contingents provides an important foundation for the new team, which will continue to contribute to achieving the mission’s objectives and to strengthening the Republic of Moldova’s image as a reliable partner in international peacekeeping efforts, according to the Ministry of the Interior’s statement.
