
Energy-efficient windows, a new heating system and modern thermal insulation of the ceiling – all these improvements were made possible thanks to the European Union’s investment of over one million lei.
The building, built in the 1990s, needed these upgrades to meet modern comfort standards.
“The center serves the whole country, providing shelter and assistance to victims of violence, human trafficking and women in difficult situations,” the statement said. “For the wards, a warm and well-lit space is not just a technical detail, but the first step to a dignified life.”
At the same time, energy efficiency improvements will reduce utility bills, freeing up resources for support services.
